Three Facebook pages on writing, a post a day on each for the month of July, combined and posted here as well.
Small Stone, July 2014, Fourteenth
In the wee hours, just before daybreak - Grandmother Moon still keeping watch.
July Writing Project - A Poem a Day - Day Fourteen
on these days
when the raw - unfiltered -
grit of life
rubs the salt of tears into
the shredded heart
that was on my sleeve
(now how did it end up there?)
your quiet gaze
unassuming ways
are a cooling - refreshing -
balm
your gentle caress when my
body is curled up in distress
unwinds the tensions - fears -
wisp away into the air
this is why love
does not say enough
of the how, the why
we are us
Fourteenth Noticing, July 2014
She followed me home last night
Lighting my mountain road
